PRIVACY POLICYBasically, whatever you tell us we keep to ourselves; we do not share or sell information, including e-mail addresses, to other companies, organizations, or individuals. Unless you purchase something from us on-line, we do not request, capture, nor record any information about you or your visit to our site; we don't use "cookies." Our mailing list is strictly opt-in - you have to submit your e-mail address to join. We never add someone's address without consent. Members of the mailing list receive only our monthly newsletter, no other e-mail. Every newsletter comes with a personally-coded link that lets you remove your name from the mailing list immediately. Now here's the long-winded version: PRIVACY POLICY FOR THE INTELLIVISION PRODUCTIONS, INC. WEB SITE WHAT WE GATHER FROM VISITORS TO OUR SITE The company that hosts our web site, Webcom, logs and reports to us the IP addresses of visitors to our site. We use this information to generate general statistics about the hits on our site (how many come from outside the United States, for example, or how many come from college campuses). We do not link IP addresses to anything individually identifiable: your visit will remain anonymous to us (this doesn't mean we still don't care about you). We reserve the right to use an IP address to trace a user when we feel it is necessary to protect our site from abuse. COOKIES - WE DON'T USE THEM OUR MAILING LIST AND HOW TO GET ON OR OFF OF IT Addresses on the Intellivision mailing list, either individually or in groups, are never sold, shared or disclosed to other companies or individuals. When you place an order with us, there is an opt-in check box on the order form that lets you choose to be added to our mailing list. You may also join by filling out the form on our home page and other locations. These are the only ways you will be added to the list - you will not be added to the list simply by visiting the web site, downloading a free game volume and/or sending us an e-mail. [Note: When we switched from opt-out to opt-in in August 2001, we sent an e-mail to everyone on the list asking them to reply if they wanted to remain on the list. Only those who replied were kept on the mailing list; all other addresses were deleted.] You can remove your address from our mailing list by clicking on the"unsubscribe" link at the bottom of every newsletter we send to you. SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY WHEN YOU ORDER FROM US OR WRITE TO US All information you provide us is confidential and never sold, shared, or disclosed to any company or person outside Intellivision Productions in any way that would be individually identifiable. We do generate statistics of our customers (average age, PC or Mac user) that may be shared with others to better develop and market our products. We reserve the right to disclose a user's individual information when we feel it is necessary to protect our company or web site from fraud, abuse, or theft, or when we believe in good faith that the law requires it.
